“I am a preschool teacher and recently had the pleasure of working with Kevin through BTS Ireland. A little boy in my class was having quite a lot of trouble adapting to school. His parents brought Kevin to the school to conduct a behaviour assessment and to provide me with some much needed support. Kevin was a pleasure to have in the school. He was so warm and friendly to both the staff and the children, and he observed the little boy in such a discreet and respectful manner. Kevin’s assessment was both comprehensive and insightful. He quickly identified the reasons for the child’s distress. Following his assessment, Kevin provided me with a report and detailed behaviour support plan. This included information on various techniques and strategies to employ, not just when the boy was in difficulty but well before it ever came to that. After months of upset, tantrums and phone calls home, with Kevin’s help the little boy settled comfortably into school. He began to respond to me and show interest in the other children. By the end of the year, he had made his first friend in school. This might seem like an ordinary milestone for a child but not all children have the ability to trust in others and form friendships.
